When controlled through corporate hands
Pillage and plunder of natural order
Before the sun can swallow us whole
Man will long be ground to dust
A forgotten branch on evolution's tree

A backwards notion of how to live
We burn the past to power today
A vampyric lust for black gold oil

As long as we stay stuck in the past
The west will keep strangling the East
For the prized fossilised remains
That we burn to fuel our world

The constant pressure to burn through oil
Has carved and split the land its from
Disregard for the people who live there
Has driven their justified hatred of us
If the depletion of oil does not stop us
Then the impending wars might do the job
