God is a fact. A fact I beleived in with all my heart
Without question I followed, afraid to step out of line
With age I grew bolder and looked to the world
Outside my insular, backwards ways
I saw the miracles of the universe
More wondrous than anything I've seen by God

If God is not real my whole world is a lie
My family lied to me my entire life
Intentional or no it is still a lie
It's so hostile to confront this lie
Enough to drive some to suicide
God appear to me debunk this lie
The silence we all get proves to me
It's correct for me to lose my faith

There is no God and there never was
She's just a tool to keep us inline

I break free of my indoctrinated childhood
I can see the world through the eyes of science
Glimpse at magic and beauty beyond compare
Out shining anything that religion could dream
It has cost me my home and all who I loved
But this new outlook has saved my life
